Coronavirus-COVID-19 Permanence on objects
In the graphs we see the permanence of the active virus on different surfaces: Copper, Cardboard, Steel, Plastic
In red the Coronavirus-COVID-19, in purple the SARS.
We can summarize the data by saying that:
- Coronavirus-COVID-19 remains infectious on Copper and Cardboard for a day, less on Copper.
- Coronavirus-COVID-19 remains infectious on Steel and Plastic for two to three days.
- Coronavirus-COVID-19 than SARS is more resistant on cardboard.
- Even what you buy on the internet or let you deliver home can be equally infectious.
- Avoid ready-made foods, such as pizza or hamburgers delivered to your home, as the cardboard containing it may be infected.
Some strategies: - Prefer in absolute mode the foods cooked by you. Cooking them the virus is destroyed.
- As much as possible, everything you buy leave it in a local or closet or insulated shelf for at least three or four days before touching it.
- If you need to use something you just bought, put on your gloves and completely disinfect the 70% alcoholic solution. Then remove the gloves and put the disinfected packages together with the "healthy" ones. Then wash your hands carefully.
Considerations
You can never be 100% sure that you have eliminated the virus from objects and environments. Fortunately it is not necessary to eliminate it 100%, but we must absolutely try to decrease contact with the virus as much as possible.
In this way we will prevent the concentration of the virus in our body from increasing to the point of making us infected.
The current spread of the virus around the world has largely shown that the indications given are not sufficient to contain the contagion.
Below we give more detailed guidance.
