Coronavirus-COVID-19: How to eliminate viruses and bacteria from clothing
Washing at 90 degrees would be the best solution, but not all clothing can stand it.
Bleach is also a good disinfectant, but in addition to the color problem, after a few washes your clothes will tear.
"Gentle" bleach is basically more diluted normal bleach.
Remember that too diluted disinfectant does not disinfect.
Normally most fabrics are washable at 60 degrees without problems.
Do not do it with T-shirts or other clothing you care about, because you risk ruining them.
Disinfecting at 30 degrees
For the garments you want to wash at 30 degrees you can add a kilo of coarse salt in the washing machine at the beginning of washing.
Possibly after five or ten minutes, when the salt has melted and the reshlics have not yet begun, stop the washing machine and leave it for an hour or two in mdo for the salt to act.
(does not, however, eliminate the yellow left by the chemicals used to block the sweat of the armpits).
Sometimes it happens that clothes, maybe long left in the closet, take an unpleasant smell, like dust, that persists even after washing.
Do the salt treatment as described and you will see that they will perfume as new.
Treatment with salt is not necessary to do it at all washes, but only occasionally.
Coronavirus-COVID-19
For Coronavirus-COVID-19, a special wash should not be necessary because it does not result in infection through washed clothes.
But given the current situation and the rapid spread of the virus, it is better to use all possible measures that can counteract its spread.
Some viruses also have the ability to remain inactive for very long periods for as long as there are no suitable environmental conditions.
Even after a very long time they can resume their activity.
For this reason, cold water and soap may not be enough, a treatment with a disinfectant can be effective.
Fleas and other annoyances
Even simple infestations such as fleas, can withstand a normal washing.
Many microorganisms or small organisms die easily, but lay eggs that are much more resistant.
For this reason, make a habit of unpacking your clothes.
Shoe disinfection
For shoes, sneakers are preferable, which can be washed in the washing machine.
Not to spoil them wash them at 30 degrees and do not dry because with the heat you could dissolve the glue that holds the sole.
To disinfect shoes is great treatment with salt.
The unwashable shoes try to use them little, for a few hours in the evening when you have some event.
Always use a sub-foot that you can replace periodically.
Change your socks at least once a day.
Shoes don't have to stink, ever.
Do not use deodorants or perfumes except in very special cases. A clean object smells good.
If it doesn't smell good it means it's not clean.
